I have found the best thing ever.

The music to "O Canada". In French AND English.

I went to bed around six this morning. Why? Band trip. Why else would I be getting in the bed at 6 AM except for band? Anyways, it was a lot of fun. Went to Busch Gardens, and Universal Studios, marched in a parade.

Note to self: Never switch to bass drum.

Math is stupid.

My mom is making me study math for the ACT so I can raise my score. I know it will help, but I don't want to do it.

Tonight is the opera. I can't wait! I'm such a dork. But then again, everyone's a dork about something. Right Jenny?

I have now christened Les Miserables as the best musical ever. That's why it keeps appearing in my Xangazon thingy.

I finally get to drive my car. It feels sort of funny. The gas pedal is a little harder to press than my old car. And I only have a cassette player. At least I actually have some enjoyable cassette tapes!

I won 2 free tickets from WHIL to see the Mobile Opera's production of La Boheme! I'm really excited. I have never been to an opera before. Claire is going with me.

Tomorrow is my lesson with Dr. Malone at Southern Miss. She's quite a character.

I am finally over my illness, yet traces of it still linger.

I placed Honorable Mention at the ESCS competition Saturday. It was fun, but everyone said that singing Porgy and Bess was sort of off the wall for a voice competition.

And.....

I GOT A CAR!!!!!!!!

Finally, after 5 months! It's a white 1991 Toyota Camry. It's old, no power-windows/locks, AC doesn't work, no CD player, but you know what? (I was in a wreck back in November, which was not my fault and my car was totaled.)

It's still a car.

Tomorrow our band goes to State in Tuscaloosa. I think we'll make all ones. But I wish Duncan would spend more time with tuning on the Whitacre.

Saturday Claire and I are going to see Mc-Gill Toolen's production of Les Miserables. Sarah is Fantine.

Me: Sarah's a whore!

Sarah: Shutup.

I HATE BEING SICK.

I'm terribly stuffy and I have a sinus headache. Come to think of it, I have sinus everything. Hopefully I'm better by Saturday because I have to participate in the Eastern Shore Choral Society's Scholarship Competition. It's sort of hard to sing when you're all stopped up. I can hardly play oboe with my sinuses.

I'll stop complaining now.
